About Us

Ferndale Day Nursery and Early Childhood Learning Center has been serving Anne Arundel County and points beyond since 1965, and as such, we are the longest serving and most trusted Licensed Child Care Center in Maryland! There have been only two ownership entities of "Ferndale" since 1965 and both were husband and wife teams.

The owners Stasia and Scott Fisher have welcomed children from the ages of 2 years to entering Grade 5 since 2002. Our secret, simply put, --- Love the Child, Teach the Child, Prepare the Child for the rigors of kindergarten and beyond while at the same time and most importantly, keep them Happy and Safe!

Our teachers LOVE TO TEACH and TEACH TO LOVE! All of our Maryland State Licensed Teachers are available for individual interviews.

Director: Mrs. Sabrina Stewart
Mrs. Sabrina began working at Ferndale Day Nursery as the Twos and Threes teacher in May 2012. She was promoted later on to Assistant Director. Mrs. Sabrina has an Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education, along with numerous child care certificates. She enjoys working with children of all ages and watching them grow up while in her care.

Senior Staff:
All senior staff have obtained their 90 hour child care certificates or more in Child Growth and Development, in addition to earning 12 CEU credits a year in child care and holding a current CPR and First Aid certification.

Teacher Assistant:
All of our Teacher Assistants have several certificates in child care, hold CPR and First Aid certifications and have taken the state mandated Child Care Aide training. We are also lucky to have several of our assistants hold their 90 hour certificates as well!

ALL STAFF, SUBSTITUTES, and VOLUNTEERS have state and federal criminal background checks.
